Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 13, 2026

At KDTreeco, we recognize that federal and postal employees handle sensitive information every day. We apply that same level of rigor to your “Nonpublic Personal Information” (NPI). This policy outlines how we collect, protect, and share your data in compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the FTC Safeguards Rule.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, describes, or relates to you (“Personal Information”). For federal employees, this specifically includes:

  1. Identifiers: Name, SSN (last 4 digits), mailing address, and work email.
  2. Employment Data: Agency name (e.g., USPS, VA, TSA), pay grade, and length of service.
  3. Financial Data: Information found on your Earnings and Leave Statement (ELS), including gross pay and existing discretionary allotments.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Match you with lenders specializing in Federal Allotment Loans.
  • Verify your eligibility via payroll portals like Postal LiteBlue or MyPay.
  • Calculate bi-weekly repayment capacity using our proprietary Allotment Calculator.

3. Data Sharing & Opt-Out Rights (GLBA)

We share NPI with non-affiliated third-party lenders to fulfill your loan request.

Your Right to Opt-Out: You may direct us not to share your NPI with non-affiliated third parties for marketing purposes. To exercise this right, email [email protected] with the subject “Opt-Out Request.”

California Residents (CCPA 2026): We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If our system detects a GPC signal, we will automatically treat it as a request to opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information.

4. Security Measures

In accordance with PCI-DSS Version 4.0 and SOC 2 Type II standards, we utilize 256-bit SSL encryption. We do not store your LiteBlue or MyPay login credentials; these are used only for real-time verification through secure API bridges.
